The LaCroy Build-Up Routine
This technique was extensively discussed on PheroTruth circa 2012, pioneered by users experimenting with LaCroy/Love Scent products.
What Is the Build-Up Routine?
The build-up routine is an advanced application technique where you layer pheromones over multiple days, allowing them to “build up” in your skin and metabolize into longer-lasting forms.
The key insight from forum user JohnnyHard:
“I applied it last night before going to sleep and in the morning I took a shower but washed the application point with plain water only, no soap. I’ll keep doing that thing for a few days and see where it leads.”
The Basic Protocol
Day 1: Initial Application
- Apply your pheromone product to pulse points before bed
- Use normal dosage (2-3 drops)
- Let it absorb overnight
Days 2-4: Preservation
- Shower normally, but wash application points with plain water only (no soap)
- Apply a fresh light layer on top (1-2 drops)
- The previous day’s application remains partially in the skin
Day 5+: Maintenance
- Continue the water-only wash routine
- Fresh applications become optional
- “Next day hits” reportedly continue even without fresh application
Why It Works (Theory)
Forum member Pheroman explained the mechanism:
“The LaCroy stuff metabolizes into something else, together with skin sweat + maybe some fresh mones.”
The theory is that:
- Skin absorption - Some pheromone molecules absorb into sebaceous glands
- Metabolic conversion - Body chemistry converts/stabilizes the molecules
- Slow release - Built-up molecules release gradually over time
- Synergy with sweat - Natural secretions blend with applied pheromones
Important Cautions
Don’t Stack Fresh Products on Top
From Pagodeiro’s warning:
“I’ve tried using some None product with the routine… you have to be careful what you’re doing there. Not because of the none, it’s because you can give off a very dominant vibe if you add something like None. Honestly there is nooo need for extra none with the routine.”
Translation: The build-up creates a stronger effect than expected. Adding more androstenone on top can overdose you easily.
Products Best Suited for This
The routine was developed specifically with:
- New Pheromone Additive (NPA) - high androstenone
- LaCroy products (now under different names)
- Products with good skin absorption
Not all products work equally well - oil-based seems better than alcohol-based.
What the Build-Up Creates
Users reported the accumulated effect produces:
- Sustained presence - Effects continue even after showering
- Natural integration - Blends with your own chemistry
- Stronger than expected - Don’t underestimate the cumulative dose
- Multi-day duration - “Next day hits” are common reports
Who Should Try This
Good candidates:
- Experienced users who know their dosage sensitivity
- Those with stable routines (same product, same application)
- Users seeking low-maintenance long-term presence
Not recommended for:
- Beginners (learn normal application first)
- Those still testing products
- Variable dosage experimenters
Variations
The Hair Application
From the forum discussion on DHEAS:
“High doses of DHEAS (200-400mcg) are best applied to hair to avoid skin irritation and slow diffusion.”
Hair can act as a reservoir for some pheromones, releasing slowly throughout the day.
The Spot Rotation
Some users rotate application spots:
- Day 1: Neck
- Day 2: Chest
- Day 3: Wrists
- Day 4: Back to neck
This prevents over-saturation of any single area while building overall presence.
Summary Protocol
- Night 1: Apply normal dose, let absorb overnight
- Morning: Shower with water only at application points
- Repeat for 3-5 days
- Assess - You may find you need no fresh application
- Caution - Don’t add aggressive molecules on top
