Overview

Beta-androstenol (5a-Androst-16-en-3b-ol), commonly called "B-nol" or "Betanol", is the "Deep Conversion and Truth Serum Pheromone." It is the epimer of alpha-androstenol, differing only in the stereochemistry at the 3-position (3b-OH vs 3a-OH). This seemingly minor structural difference creates profoundly different effects.

Detection

Detected via VNO. The 3ฮฒ-hydroxyl orientation causes VNO receptors to interpret the signal as bonding/trust/depth rather than the casual friendliness of the 3ฮฑ orientation.
